Now Research Director at HiiL (The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law) Maurits leads teams developing breakthrough innovations such as a code of conduct for the personal injury sector and evidence-based guidelines for delivering family justice.
Other examples are the – widely acclaimed – online supported justice journey for divorce (Rechtwijzer) and the measuring access to justice methodology (now a successful HiiL service).
He also is the author of leading reports on how to organise access to justice at a country level.
Kanan Dhru is the Justice Innovation Advisor at HiiL (The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law). She focuses on developing insights on justice innovation, which empowers innovators and strengthens the justice innovation ecosystem.
Being a serial justice innovator herself (Founder of LawForMe, Lawtoons and Research Foundation for Governance in India), Kanan won HiiL´s Innovating Justice Challenge in 2014. She then became HiiL´s Regional Head for India/Bangladesh in 2018 and thereafter joining HiiL as the Community Manager in 2019. Kanan has a Master’s in Public Administration from IGNOU and a law degree from the London School of Economics, UK. She has been a practising lawyer in India, an accredited mediator and a columnist with The Huffington Post.

Anne Seekings-Le Quément has been contributing to the Consumer Protection Agenda of the European Commission (EC) since September 2020. Part of her job involves supporting Consumer Protection stakeholders and most recently she has become involved with the EU Sustainable consumption pledge, through which the EC is inviting EU companies to take a voluntary pledge to support sustainable consumption, beyond what is required by law.

Simon Warr has been the President of Legal Protection International since 2017.
